mTrial in Schools The Fairfield School District in Connecticut recently adopted mTrial as their data collection system for their autism education program. It fits in well with the current data collection method these students are using. I am feeling confident in my ability in entering program changes (new programs, changing SD's, targets, etc.) Three support staff members are now capable of the PC component of the program as well. They were able to learn from my demonstration in less than an hour. All the staff have been able to learn the data entry into the Palm with one training session (remember all of these persons have at least four months previous data collection training that was formally entered into the program books). It was merely a transfer of the same skills onto the Palm. Because there is the ability to develop the student specific programs, I am trialing the programs capacity to include academic components as well. (ex. Regular education K assessments 'name removed' required for report cards, DRAs, etc) If this continues to be successful I would like to review this for extending which students mTrial will benefit. I am still getting playing around with the graphing component. It is a GREAT time saver and will be reviewing what has been generated with 'name removed' after break to get his input.
