Important Information About Student IDs
The choice of a Student ID is very important. There are four things to keep in mind when selecting a Student ID.
- No two Student Accounts in mTrial can have the same Student ID.
- The Student ID, and not the student’s name, is used at the top of reports. Choose a Student ID that will identify the student; avoid creating cryptic Student IDs, such as “user5562”.
- After you choose a Student ID and create an account, use the same Student ID to when creating a User name in the Palm Desktop Software and use the same Student ID for mTrial.
- There are certain rules when creating a Student ID: (a) a valid Student ID may contain only: letters from the English alphabet, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and apostrophes, (b) a valid Student ID may not: begin or end with a space, contain consecutive spaces, contain consecutive hyphens, or contain consecutive apostrophes, and (c) a valid Student ID may be up to only 20 characters long. If you attempt to create a Student ID that does not meet the above requirements, you will receive and error message and you will not be allowed to add the Student Account.
